Active for several years in Toulouse-based neofolk, coldwave, and black metal bands, the group formed in 2017 around Cindy and Michaël before being joined in 2019 by Matthieu as their new guitarist. Drawing on influences from the ’80s and ’90s (Cocteau Twins, Slowdive, Ride, Dead Can Dance, Cranes) as well as more recent artists (The Soft Moon, Chelsea Wolfe, Tropic of Cancer, Black Marble), the band offers an anachronistic yet modern take on the heyday of coldwave and shoegaze. The result is music that blends sonic density, languor, and tension.
In 2018, they released their self-titled debut EP on BLWBCK and Solange Endormie, combining electronic textures, reverberating guitars, keyboards, and chorus-drenched bass lines, with the five tracks ranging from spectral bursts to sensual intensity. The band has opened for acts such as Molchat Doma, Usé, Peter Kernel, The Foreign Resort, NONN, Death In Rome, Off Models, Police Des Moeurs, Young Mountain, and OvO.
The arrival of Matthieu (guitarist for the black metal band Heir) in 2019 brought greater edge and depth to the band, allowing them to start from a fresh foundation to compose and record this debut album. Cindy Sanchez’s vocals once again play a pivotal role, weaving melodies and harmonies in which innocence blends with venom. The result is an album that is more uplifting and varied than their first EP.
